The Cataract Hotel

£650.00

approx. 85 x 115 cm

giclée print

unframed

‘This was on a solo trip to Aswan in Egypt for Conde Nast Traveller. It was actually taken from my hotel room at the Cataract Hotel (think Agatha Christie) overlooking the Nile with archaeological sites on Elephantine island in the foreground, and the mausoleum of the Aga Khan on the hill behind. The sailing boats are known as feluccas. Traditionally this was the border of Egypt and Nubia.
